Incoming Exchange Students

Founded in 1871 as a land-grant institution, the University of Arkansas is home to more than 26,000 students, from all 50 states and 120+ countries. Our picturesque campus is located in Fayetteville, routinely considered among the country’s finest college towns, and the surrounding Northwest Arkansas region is regularly ranked one of the best places to live in the U.S. Some of the nation’s most spectacular hiking trails are within a short drive of campus.

Students from our exchange partner universities are nominated by officials at their home institutions to study at the University of Arkansas, typically for one or two semesters. Students from other universities around the world may be eligible to study at the University of Arkansas through the International Students and Scholars Visiting Student Program.

Once nominated, students will receive an invitation and instructions to begin an application to the University of Arkansas.
