Application Procedures
This is a competitive selection process based on a review of the student’s complete application by the program’s faculty leaders. Applications will be reviewed as follows:
Priority Deadline: November 2, 2012: Particularly strong applicants submitting by the priority deadline will be admitted to the program by mid-November. Remaining applicants will move to the second review after January 11, unless program is full.
Regular Deadline: January 11, 2013: Selected applicants will be admitted to the program by mid-January. Remaining applicants will move to the final review after February 1, unless program is full.
Final Deadline: February 1, 2013: Final admissions decisions on completed applications will be announced by mid-February.
A Complete Application includes the following:
The UA Faculty -Led Program Application (Adobe Reader is required to view the PDF; download Adobe Reader for free)
A brief Personal Statement (indicating your reason(s) for selecting your intended study abroad program, how it might compliment your degree program, and if this will be your first overseas experience)
A copy of your Transcript (this can be an advising or an unofficial copy for UA applicants)
A Letter of Recommendation by your academic advisor or professor (indicating, in his/her judgment, whether this student would make a positive contribution to the group and program? If yes, how? Further, if space in this program is limited, are there qualifications or factors that would make this student especially deserving?)
A Copy of your Passport (If you don't have a valid passport, please apply for a passport immediately and submit a copy of the first page when you have received it)
For Visiting Student Applicants (not enrolled at the UA): Applicants who are not currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas must also submit (please send everything to us!) either the Undergraduate Application for Admission or the Graduate Application for Admission), a $40 application fee (made payable to University of Arkansas).

All Applicants are required to have an e-mail address that they are expected to check frequently for program updates. Most information regarding the program from our office will be sent out electronically.
