Business Seminar in Greece

Highlights & Photos

I really enjoyed the Greece study abroad trip. There was a lot of independence which was great, but Dr. Douglas and Dr. Cronan were also very knowledgable about subject and the area where we were studying. I would highly reccommend this program to anyone interested in learning more about European E-Commerce!
Rachel Hope, participant, summer '09

This program provides students with insights into the business and political environment in the European Union as well as a chance to experience Greek culture.  During the four-week program students will be introduced to key issues in the Greek/American economic and business relationship. Guest lecturers will be from the business, academic and political community.

Students will receive 6 credit hours through courses taught in English and guided by UA faculty.  The program includes ten hours of preparatory instruction at UA, giving students a background in Greece's current business, political and cultural environment.

There will also be field trips to businesses, cultural and historical sites and government institutions (ie: a 4 day, 3 night excursion to Santorini; visits to local businesses such as IBM; CERES Shipping;  plus a visit to the US Embassy and the European Union and an organized tours around Athens).

Don't forget to check out Drew Tappan 's blog from summer 2009 and see what it's like from a student perspective!
