Overview
This course will familiarize students with the socio-economic, business, and cultural environment in Brazil. The objective is that upon completion students will be informed and conversant in the key issues in the Brazilian/American economic, business, and cultural relationship. PHOTOS & STUDENT COMMENTS

Course Area Offered: Economics. One course worth 6 hours will be offered, with sections for undergranduate and graduate students.
Courses will be taught in English and do not require any prior study of Portuguese. COURSE INFORMATION
Accommodations: Participants will stay in suitable hotels in Rio de Janiero and Recife.
Excursions: Students will have the opportunity to go on visits to business enterprises and cultural attractions in Rio de Janiero, as well as an excursion to Recife, in Northeastern Brazil.
Estimated Costs: $3,200 + Airfare (est. $1,500) + UA Off-Campus Tuition + Personal Expenses ESTIMATED COSTS & FUNDING
Faculty Leader: The trip will be led by Prof. Andrew Horowitz of the University of Arkansas Walton College of Business Supply Chain Management Department. Dr. Horowitz spends most of his free time in Rio when not teaching here in Arkansas and leads this program often.
