Application Procedures
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the deadline or until the program fills. Applicants will be notified of their status approximately one week after a complete application has been submitted.
Application Deadline: October 15 , 2009 (Early Application is Advised)
A Complete Application includes the following:
The UA Faculty -Led Program Application (Adobe Reader is required to view the PDF; download Adobe Reader for free)
A brief Personal Statement (indicating your reason(s) for selecting your intended study abroad program, how it might compliment your degree program, and if this will be your first overseas experience)
A copy of your Transcript (this can be an advising or an unofficial copy for UA applicants)
The Recommendation Form by your academic advisor or teacher
A Copy of your Passport (If you don't have a valid passport in hand by the time of application, you may not be eligible to participate on this program).2 Copies of the Completed Egyptian Security Clearance Form with Instructions (one copy of the form filled out and one with just your signature).
A One Page Professional Resume or CV, focusing solely on your archeology/anthropology experience (for the Egyptian security clearance). Check out this Sample CV if you need help
2 Passport Style Photos, via email (lmoix@uark.edu), in a jpg format (for the Egyptian security clearance)
For Visiting Student Applicants (not enrolled at the UA): Applicants who are not currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas must also submit (please send everything to us!) an Application for Admission to the UA (found under "Print and mail the Application PDF" at http://admissions.uark.edu/app/), a $40 application fee (made payable to University of Arkansas).
