Highlights & Photos

Several civilizations and cultures have left an impressive collection of unique art and architectural masterpieces in Rome. This course is a month-long studio class designed for students to createvisual site-specific work (sketching, painting, photographing, collecting collage materials).  The emphasis will be sketching. 

The program includes tours to many ancient sites, such as the Forum & Ostia Antica, Centro Storico or "Medieval Center", Renaissance & Baroque Rome (St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel) and museums specializing in ancient Rome: (the Vatican Museums, Galleria Borghese, and  the Capitoline Museum). 

We also visit modern museums in each city as well as contemporary exhibits.  Museum fees are included in the program fee.There will also be a week-long trip to Florence and Venice included in the program fee. This program is intended for art majors or students with prior training in sketching or painting.
