One advanced Japanese language student will be selected to spend the academic year at Kansai Gaidai University.
Students will be enrolled in the Asian Studies Program at Kansai Gaidai University. Intensive Japanese language courses plus a wide variety of liberal arts and business courses taught in English are offered.
Additionally, students will participate in the Homestay Program. Living with a Japanese family will provide students with not only an environment to develop their language skills, but opportunities to understand the daily life, values, and customs of the Japanese people, which will inevitably enhance what they have acquired in the classroom.
Kansai Gaidai University is located in Hirakata City, Osaka and is accessible, within a one-hour train ride, to Kyoto and Nara, the ancient capitals, and Osaka, the second largest business hub in Japan.
Leadership for the program comes from the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
