In collaboration with the other 11 SEC universities, the University of Arkansas will select one student to attend Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland for the 2009 Spring Semester.

NEW! Johnetta Cross Brazzell Study Abroad Scholarship
To enhance the diversity of the study abroad experience, the Johnetta Cross Brazzell Endowed Study Abroad Scholarship will be awarded to students from underrepresented communities, i.e., students who are among the first generation in their family to go to college, from low-income backgrounds, and/or members of ethnic/minority groups.
Average Award: $1,000 - $1,200
For: summer, semester or year (award amount does not change with duration of study)

Two fellowships will be available. At least one of these fellowships will be granted for study / research in a non-European country. At least one of these fellowships will be granted to a non-honors student.

- Atlantis Scholarship for BS Chemistry, Biochemistry Majors
$12,000/year and insurance must be junior-level BS Chemistry or Biochemistry major planning to pursue PHD in CHEM, BIOCHEM or Medicinal CHEM

A limited number of grants will be available on a competitive basis to students majoring in Middle East Studies who want to study abroad. (Graduate students seeking funding for overseas research should contact the King Fahd Center directly.)

- Honors College Study Abroad
Maximum of $4000 (Summer), $8000 (Semester) or $12000 (Year) for four year or departmental honors students, must have completed at least 6 hours of honors credit.

- Sturgis Honors Study Abroad Award
$2500-$10,000 for Fulbright College ARSC students in departmental or 4 year honors program. Sturgis Fellows not eligible for this award.
DEADLINE: February 1 for all programs

- J.W. & Elizabeth Fulbright Scholarship
$10,000+ for one year of study in Classics or Humanities. For Fulbright College student with at least sophomore standing.
