Notes: DAAD is delighted to invite students and matriculated scholars to explore themes relating to migration flows to or from Germany, as part of our 2008 essay contest entitled Changing Demographics.
The DAAD essay contest fosters a variety of possible topics from a diverse field of disciplines. We welcome entries in all areas of the humanities, including (but not limited to) linguistics, journalism, political science and history.
The grand prize will be awarded to one winner each in two categories:
undergraduates, and graduates & PhD students. Both winners will receive roundtrip airfare to Germany, a two-month grant funding a study or research project in all academic fields to be carried out in Germany and health insurance during the two-month stay. The top three essays in each category will be posted to DAAD's website.
Application instructions and a list of the rules and requirements for the competition can be found at:
www.daad.org/?p=essay. Please direct questions to us via email at essay@daad.org or telephone (212) 758-3223 x214.
