How to Apply
Courses will be taught in English, primarily by Walton College faculty with guest lectures and international faculty from Fudan University and Northern Jiaotong University. Classes will be visited by executive speakers from businesses such as Wal-Mart, China. Students will visit multinational companies such as Coca-Cola, Johnson and Johnson, Unilever, Hormel and Chinese companies such as the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Students will also tour cultural sites such as the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Hangzhou Gardens, the Summer Palace, Tienanmen Square and Mao's Memorial Hall.

Three hours of credit at the graduate level. The program is intended for MMBA students in the Walton College of Business. The course will be taught in English.
Program Costs
UA Tuition: Variable depending on status in the MBA or MMBA program.
*Tuition discounts are not allowed.
The program fee includes group airfare from Fayetteville and transfer from Shanghai to Beijing, hotel room (double occupancy) in Shanghai and Beijing on campuses of Fudan University and Northern Jiaotong University, meals while on cultural excursions, cultural excursions, visits to multinational companies, guest executive speakers, guest faculty speakers and Chinese student hosts.
Not included are UA tuition, passport and visa fees, personal expenses or meals while in town.
Payment Schedule
Deposit $ 500 February 1 (non-refundable)
1st payment* $ 1,500 March 1, 2008
2nd payment* $ 2,000 + tuition May 1, 2008
* Any financial assistance awarded by Walton College may be applied against the 1st or 2nd payments.
Withdrawal Policy:
Notification of withdrawal is required in writing to the Office of Study Abroad. Lack of written notification will result in the charging of the full fee to the student, regardless of the actual time of withdrawal.

Financial aid and scholarships are available to UA students. Visiting students must apply for financial aid through their home university. Business College students should request funding from the Walton College of Business. Honors students should apply for study abroad grants through the UA Honors College. Contact the UA Office of Study Abroad for applications and deadlines or visit the Honors website.
Eligibility
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 24 hours by the beginning of the program with a cumulative GPA of 2.6 or better. One academic recommendation from a faculty member or academic advisor is also required. Applicants must also have completed ECON 2013/2023 or ECON 2143. Prospective students will be interviewed and should display an academic record demonstrating maturity.
