Federal Financial Aid

Federal Aid includes (but is not limited to) Pell Grants, Stafford and Perkins Loans. These awards may be applied to approved study abroad programs. Your study abroad advisor can you let you know if a program is approved.

Set an appointment with your financial aid counselor to discuss your options. Do not rule out federal aid if you have previously been denied. Study abroad can increase your education costs, which may result in a financial aid award.  It is useful to determine a study abroad program budget before you meet with a financial aid counselor.

To determine if you are eligible to receive financial aid you must have a current FAFSA form completed on file. This form may be found online at: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov// or visit the Office of Financial Aid located in Silas Hunt Hall.

Students applying for summer aid may need to complete supplemental forms. Contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information.
